Hemp Seed Oil is a magical carrier oil that works to rejuvenate and strengthen the skin. It contains skin-loving fatty acids such as linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). The combination of Linoleic acid and ALAs is also known as Vitamin F, a compound with many benefits for the skin. Vitamin F helps to protect the skin’s barrier that locks in moisture and keeps irritants out. GLA is an omega-6 essential fatty acid and is beneficial for soothing redness and inflammation associated with dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.
The soothing effect of Hemp Seed Oil also makes it a popular addition to recipes for acne-prone skin as it keeps skin moisturised, calm and won’t clog pores.
Its aroma is rich, nutty and earthy.
TRY: Add 5-6 drops of Tea Tree Oil to 25mL of Hemp Seed Oil for an overnight blemish control facial oil.
