Sensitive skin needs special while washing to ensure that the delicate balance of oils isn't disturbed. This cleanser recipe takes ingredients from nature and turns them into a blanket for your face that will not leave you feeling stripped and sore.
About the Ingredients
Argan oil and Jojoba oil are both rich in fatty acids that help to keep skin hydrated and protected. Jojoba in particular is a hero ingredient in many skincare products because it’s hydrating, rich in vitamins and is similar to the oils we naturally produce making it perfect for sensitivities.
Lavender is believed to be anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory which can help to calm skin. Frankincense Oil is ultra-nourishing yet gentle and may help reverse signs of ageing. Lemon oil will help to clarify your skin and keep it bright and healthy with antioxidants and vitamin C.
Blend together all carrier oils into a small mixing jug or bowl.
Add your essential oil drops.
Mix well and pour into a 100mL bottle for storage.
Apply about a teaspoon of oil cleanser to your face while it's dry.
Use a damp, warm washcloth to gently wipe away the oil. Pat dry with a towel.
Don't feel like you have to stick to the recipe - if you want to add more Lavender and less Lemon in your mix that's your call! For particularly sensitive skin, we recommend testing a small amount on the underside of your jaw, corner of your forehead, or behind your ear prior to using for the first time.
